I've lived in Arizona since 1999 and now call Gilbert home. Growing up, I lived all over the world, including time spent in Singapore and Venezuela. I settled in Edmond, Oklahoma and earned my B.S. at Oklahoma State University. I come from a background in retail management and decided to open my own insurance agency in 2010, with Farmers Insurance. After almost 10 years of business ownership, I decided to sell my agency and pursue a career in business development. I currently serve on the Oakwood Creative Care (OCC), the Mesa Chamber, and Mesa Leadership boards, and am a past board member of her HOA and NAWBO Phoenix. I love spending time with friends and family, traveling and appreciating other cultures. I'm also a huge fan of Mario Kart :)In my 20’s, I lost my grandmother to complications of Alzheimer's. I saw the effects it had on my entire family, especially my grandfather, who promised Memaw he would never put her in a home. He couldn’t keep that promise because of the vast health complications that come with Alzheimer's disease and finding a quality care facility proved to be challenging in their small Texas town.Through my work with OCC, I learned of All About You (AAY) Senior Resources & Placement. I am a firm believer in the mission, the work, and the WHY behind AAY. I joined the team with the dream of helping to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. Most recently, I completed a Dementia Champion course through Banner Hospitals and am able to certify individuals and businesses as “Dementia Friendly” through OCC.
